What is this and why do I need it?
This is your first layer of hydration after cleansing. It helps keep
your skin balanced, calm and visibly smoother while supporting overall skin
health. It preps your skin so everything you use after can work more
effectively. Use it daily to boost glow, brighten, improve texture, reduce the
look of redness and give your skin that fresh, well-rested look. It works for
all skin types and fits easily into any routine, whether you’re just getting
started or already using actives like retinol or exfoliating acids.
Is this suitable for all skin types?
Yes. It’s fragrance free, dermatologically tested and designed to
help calm the skin while supporting the barrier. It’s suitable for all skin including sensitive, dry or easily irritated skin.
Can ectoin help improve the effectiveness of my other skincare products?
Yes. By improving skin hydration and reducing inflammation, ectoin has been shown to demonstrate improved penetration of other ingredients into the skin's deeper layers, allowing them to exert their effects more effectively.
What is the pH level?
The formula pH is between 5.0 to 5.5, mirroring the natural pH of healthy skin, so its soothing and gentle enough for daily application.
When do I use Ceramide Moisture Milk in my routine?
After cleansing and before your serum/moisturiser/oil steps. This formula is super gentle so can be used as a second cleanse for those with sensitive skin.
Can I layer it with other products?
Yes, it works well with actives. Using this first helps keep your skin hydrated and balanced, which can improve how your skin reacts to stronger ingredients like retinol, acids or vitamin C.
How much do I apply?
Dispense a ‘coin’ sized amount in the hand and press gently onto the face, neck and decollete.
How quickly can I layer on top of it?
Depending on how much you have applied, wait around 1 – 2 minutes for the formula to absorb before applying further skincare products.
Do I apply it before my vitamin c concentrate in the morning, I thought I had to put that on dry skin?
You can apply the Vitamin C Concentrate after the Ceramide Milk. The Ceramide Milk formula is lightweight and easily absorbed and will dry down quickly, ahead of applying Vitamin C concentrate. As an added bonus, Ectoin has proven benefits to enhance the efficacy of active ingredients such as Vitamin C.
Will it work under make-up?
It's the best for makeup prep! Especially if you are prone to dry patches or you find that your foundation can separate or become patchy. It sinks in quickly and gives your skin a smooth, hydrated base. It won’t pill or interfere with other products.
How many applications in one bottle, how long will it last?
Approximately 60 applications/ 2 months if used as directed but depends on how liberally you apply the product.
I have clogged pores/breakouts can I still use it?
This is a great addition if you are prone to congestion thanks to the 5% niacinamide which helps balance sebum production (aka oil). The soothing properties help to calm angry breakouts, while the skin barrier supporting benefits help to keep pimple causing bacteria at bay by promoting the balance of good bacteria.
Is it vegan?
Yes, the formula is vegan and suitable for all skin types.
