What ingredients should teenagers avoid in skincare products?

Teenagers should avoid harsh ingredients and high concentrations of exfoliating actives and abrasive physical exfoliants. Gentle, soothing ingredients like salicylic acid, niacinamide, and hyaluronic acid are more suitable.

Teenagers should be mindful of certain ingredients that can potentially cause irritation or breakouts. They should avoid harsh ingredients and high concentrations of exfoliating actives and abrasive physical exfoliants.

Comedogenic ingredients like coconut oil, cocoa butter and certain silicones should also be avoided as they can clog pores and lead to breakouts, particularly for acne-prone skin.

It is important for teens to choose skincare products that are gentle and suitable for their skin type. Please feel free to contact us on enquiries@nipandfab.com and we can help guide to a suitable routine.
