Full layering guide
This guide is our optimal laying routine, tailor the amount of steps to what works for you.

* If you’re using a treatment serum or concentrate (such as retinol or exfoliating acids), it’s best to skip this step on those evenings. Always follow the recommended usage guidance for each product.
Using active ingredients
Not all leave-on products are designed to be used together. Products focused on hydration and barrier support can usually be layered together and used alongside most routines. Actives such as retinoids, exfoliating acids and vitamin C treatments, are best not layered together in the same routine.
Using more than one at a time can increase the likelihood of irritation. For best results, introduce these gradually and use them on alternate days, or separate them between morning and evening routines. This guidance applies to leave-on products only. Cleansers are wash-off formulas and don’t follow the same mixing rules.
A few key points to keep in mind
Daily SPF is essential. Sun exposure is the main cause of visible skin ageing, including fine lines, pigmentation and uneven texture. UVA rays penetrate deeply into the skin, weakening collagen and triggering excess pigment, which can also make pores appear more noticeable. Wearing SPF daily helps protect the progress you’re making with your routine.
- Introduce new products one at a time, giving your skin time to adjust.
- Always patch test new products before full use.
- In the evening, double cleansing helps remove SPF, pollution and build-up from the day.
